In this seminar, Steve will introduce the research being done at Scripps from a data perspective including long term data sets collected off of the Scripps pier, coastal data sets from the Coastal Data Information Program (CDIP) and global ocean arrays. He will discuss potential industry applications of these data sets which include parameters that can be used to forecast extreme weather events, inform climate resilience strategies and potentially provide insights for strategic advantages in a variety of sectors.
