This is the longest and most ambitious YTP I’ve made so far and it will probably remain that way until me and Letycjusz do that 10x multiplied time tennis and my round 5 ends up being 55 minutes long. Despite how long and ambitious it is tho I wouldn’t really say it’s my best work (maybe for its time it was), that title prolly belongs to my round 6 vs mrdoognoog or my secret santa gift for B33K33P3R, and this video just feels kinda rough in comparison
I went for a particular concept when making this round, where it’s split into three parts, with the first and third part being relatively regular and the second part being more ambient, experimental and slow-paced. It’s a concept I was interested in at the time, where the first act represents life, second act represents death/afterlife, and final act represents rebirth/return to life, and I think I executed it here pretty okayly (obviously not directly) and the round kinda has a neat but also gimmicky structure that way, with each of its three parts also being split into their own little mini-parts
So yeah, as a long-form ytp it’s pretty decent, but as a tennis round responding to the previous round it kinda sucks tbh. I feel like it barely uses the previous round and functions more as a solo ytp which I don’t like. Pre-TC5 Set 1 I feel like I lacked in communication like that, but I’ll go more in depth on that in the description for my round 2 vs doog when the time comes to upload that here. There’s also just things in this round that make me cringe and didn’t really age well to me for reasons I dont wanna get into here (and also the audio fuck up at 10:59 is like laughably bad). Whatever, it’s a 15 minute video mostly made in the span of two weeks and made just a couple months after I first stepped foot into the ytp community after years of hibernation, so it’s bound to be rough around the edges, and theres still some really good parts here and there
I also feel like around this time just after I stepped out of creative block I still tried to hold onto the whole acid trip/spingebill style that I once had because I don’t think I realized or accepted yet that I outgrew that style lol
There are some parts that were made before round 75 was even out. 1:17 - 2:01 was actually made at the very beginning of February 2023 and it’s pretty much the earliest YTP thing of mine I’ve uploaded onto YouTube post-2020 so far
I also made 4:39 - 5:04 as a serve for greenXYZ and ended up including it in this round. 11:31 - 11:33 was in the serve too
Edit: I guess one more thing I’ll add is I feel like I used to be in favour of long ambitious videos back when I made this. I feel like I’m embracing shorter and more simplistic stuff now
