Here is some of my initial testing with electromagnetic acceleration using a coilgun. The SCR triggering circuit can be used with virtually any SCR, in this case I am using a 2N6509 SCR (300 amp surge rating). I have a few 70TPS12PBF SCR's on the way, which handle up to 1400 surge amps! The circuit is very easy to construct, but PLEASE BE SAFE, these voltages can easily kill or maim you!
