So for anyone interested you can find the map and full description for this walk on the os map app. It was also described by the country walking magazine.
Its a lovey local-ish 8 mile circular walk starting from Gilling West near to Scotch Corner. It takes you through some of out gorgeous countryside and over to Ravensworth before circling back.
It also takes in aome lovely architecture along the way although i probab have focused a lot of that in this video. But you do pass some lovely follies, castle ruins georgian gothic style buildings and lots more alone the way.
Just to note there is one river crossing along this route with no bridge that after all the recent rain wasnt the easiest to cross at the time. Also note you do cross a lot of farmland and depending on the time of year there many be bulls or cows with calfs about. I was lucky and despite lots of cow warning signs I saw none on. the walk. Just lota of friendly sheep and a few horses instead.
I know the views dont compare with the Lake District mountains but there really is something apecial about exploring your local countryside. I do hope you all enjoy the video.
Also i sadly lost my yellow hat along this trail and didnt realise till I got home 😅 but not to worry ive finally found the same hat online and have a new one ordered that will hopefully be with me again soon.
