EastWest Sounds | Scoring With Opus: Video Game @EWQLTutorials | Uploaded November 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Watch Scoring With Opus: Video Game, the third in our series of videos where we show you how to use the brand new Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition, along with all of the instruments in ComposerCloud, to score scenes complete with sound design and dialogue.
Just in time for GameSoundCon, we have prepared a special edition of Scoring With Opus focused on scoring for a video game. We'll talk about when to draw attention to the music, and when to let it take a backseat to the visuals and sound design. As this is also a hybrid soundtrack, we'll be covering how to effectively integrate non-orchestral instruments like synthesizers and guitars with the rest of the orchestra.
You can find a complete list of all the instruments used in this video here: media.soundsonline.com/docs/video-game-patch-list.pdf
And of course, all of these instruments are available as part of a ComposerCloud subscription. Sign up today: soundsonline.com/composercloud
