I'm desperately in need of new rechargeable AA batteries. I've loved my eneloops to death (literally) and they barely hold any charge anymore so time to check out a new (at least to me) type of battery, nickel-zinc! I was contacted by Scigold to review their usb AA battery charger along with some nickel-zinc and nickel-metal hydride batteries they very kindly sent along. Let's see if they'll hold up to some torture testing involving burning a bunch of minidiscs! As an added bonus let's take a look inside the charger and see how it works.
