Massive magma reservoirs the size of Yellowstone super Volcano have been found beneath Tuscany, Italy, in the Tuscan Magmatic Province near Larderello and Monte Amiata. Scientists say more than 5,000 km³ of magma and partial melt may lie 8–15 km underground, helping power the Larderello geothermal field, including the Valle Secolo plant near Pisa, Siena and Grosseto.
