Scientifica's International manager, Suzie Tompkinson, talks to Professor Martin about the pioneering work into Biofuel cells being carried out in his laboratory.
Professor Martin is using patch clamp electrophysiology, and electrochemistry, to explore how ion channels and transport proteins incorporate into lipid membranes.
This work aims to reveal how they can create stable, nanostructure devices to produce alternative energy sources for medical devices such as pacemakers. Professor Martin shares his experience of working with Scientifica and the ease with which he was able to re-establish his patch clamp setup in France.
