Collaborative research from The University of Manchester has led to two centres of excellence in high-energy proton beam therapy for the NHS. With STFC, EPSRC and MRC funding, researchers at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust have been able to further develop high-energy proton beam therapy in the fight against cancer.
