Rocks and minerals have been used by humans and our ancestors for millennia. This resource will explore the formation of rocks and minerals and consider how the properties of rocks and minerals are related to their use.

Investigate how these naturally occurring materials provide valuable resources for human activity, and explore the effects of volcanic activity using a real-world example to model pyroclastic flows.
