At Nestlé, we are committed to eradicating child labor in our cocoa-growing communities. Many children in Côte d’Ivoire do not have birth certificates - so cannot attend school. Watch how Nestlé, through the Cocoa Plan, supported a young boy to enroll in school by helping provide his birth certificate. To date, Nestlé has distributed almost 3,000 birth certificates so that children without documentation can go to school. As of 2019, Nestlé has helped 15,000 children in cocoa-growing communities access education.
