Did you know that Agent 007 in “GoldenEye” (1995) could have skipped the daring jump and used the elevator inside the Verzasca Dam in Ticino, #Switzerland, instead? It would have been much safer, though a bit less theatrical.
Since 1966, our #elevators at the dam complex have been used daily by dam employees and contractors alike. One elevator, located in the inner wall of the dam, serves inspection corridors, while another in the power station descends 200 meters to the turbines that generate electricity for the entire canton of #Ticino.
