Schefflera arboricola is a common species used for bonsai and an easy-to-find tropical variety in your common grocery store garden section or local nursery. They are often called money trees or dwarf hawaiian umbrella trees, with a helicopter-style propeller perched on top. They can range from banyan trees, single trunk trees, forests, or even a collection of aerial routes that form together and produce one crown.

David Cutchin–a renowned tropical bonsai expert and practitioner, guides us through an introduction to the Schefflera species with a multi-trunk styling. In this video learn the basic care tips for your Hawaiian umbrella bonsai as well as how to style your schefflera.
