Using a 4-DoF arm built out of HEBI X-Series actuators to scan the thickness of a steel plate with an ultrasonic probe. The HEBI I/O board is used to generate simulated quadrature encoder pulses so that the position of the probe can be read by an off-the-shelf scanner system.
