A British Chinese woman has told BBC Trending how she handed over life savings in the belief that she was paying bail in order to avoid extradition to China on fabricated criminal charges.
Some victims are even made to fake their own kidnappings to raise more money to give to the fake police. So why are Chinese people seemingly so vulnerable to this type of crime?
