Scalar Multiplication. A fundamental operation when working with vectors is scalar multiplication. To multiply a scalar (a real number) times a vector, simply distribute the scalar through to all the components of the vector. Scalar multiplication lengthens or shortens the vector, but does not change it's direction. Subscribe on YouTube: bit.ly/1bB9ILD
