CFD has been applied to monitor scalar transport to study the diffusion based study single and multiphase flows induced by a Rushton impeller. OpenFOAM and rotating meshes were used (AMI) to resolve the full 3D flow field and post-processing using Q and iso contours to track down the scalar transport.
