The Scala Starparade show was an all animatronic show that lasted in Phantasialand all the way from 1983 to 1998. Replacing the first show in the building from 1977 known as Die Klimbimski-Show which was sort of like the Country Bear Jamboree of Phantasialand.
Starparade which is known as the Festival of Animals is a show to where animals can be seen singing and dancing among other cool tricks that are reminiscent of Disneylands America Sings show. The only difference being the music covered is from the many cultures and singers from around the world as opposed to just only America. So you were able to see France, Brazil, America, and several others! Even music genres such as Waltz! The show was directed by Richard Schmidt who was a famed puppetier who lended a hand to much of the park and its attractions. With narriation for the show being spoken by a man named Max Schautzer.
It was a unique show that had a heck of a lifespan. And the music is just doggone awesome! Sadly the attraction is long dead and replaced in 1998 by a Leslie Nielsen and Eric Idle 4D show that is still going on to this day; Pirates 4D. There is an unconfirmed rumor that Starparade is still out there but in storage (0ver 20 years) just waiting to be installed once again in another part of Europe. Don't qoute us on that as it is unconfirmed rumor, but maybe it could be something for the Lost Media enthusiasts to solve...
I had to preserve the footage here because there is a lot of theme park stuff that needs to be preserved and acknowledged to prevent them from becoming lost or obscure media!
