My MOST EMBARRASSING eBay Warhammer Purchase! eBay Miniature Rescues 2022-01-09 | I can't believe I got into this hobby almost 25 years ago. It seems like yesterday that I was picking up my first box of Eldar Guardians from a local hobby shop. Fast forward to nearly 25 years later and this week we will take a look at what is my absolute dumbest eBay Warhammer purchase to date, not that the models were bad, but man did I overpay! The auction was for a few squads of Eldar models from the late 90s and an Avatar of Khaine! I got into a crazy bidding war and just couldn't contain my emotion, I was pretty young at the time and didn't really think about the price if I'm being honest. In fact, I tried to justify it to my parents, saying these were special, and I got a good deal, which really didn't work, and they were a little upset. Of course looking back at it now and still owning the models just makes for a good story, but I felt bad about this purchase for quite a while, weird kid guilt, anyways...We will be taking a look at the Avatar of Khaine today and seeing what can be done to bring it to a good place. I'm so excited to finally be done with this project and am very happy to share my results. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)This video was a fun one for me, lots of reminiscing about the good and bad of playing Warhammer when I was young. I eluded to quitting the hobby because of this model, and that's mostly the case. I was legitimately laughed at for this paint job by adult players back in the day, and some very not so nice things were said, so I told them to shove it and I quit buying models. It took me 20 years to come back to the hobby, and I am so glad that I did. I don't ever want to see that happen to anyone, and I will always do my best to encourage and lift up my fellow hobbyist'. I do feel like this hobby has gotten way better about things like that, although I still see room for improvement too. Rescuing a Seraphon Carnosaur from eBay eBay Miniature Rescues 2021-12-12 | One of the absolute coolest things about Warhammer Age of Sigmar are the Space Dinosaurs. The Seraphon are a very unique race in that they are all lizard people and one of the cooler models in the range is an Old Blood Dino riding a Carnosaur Dino, it's almost too good to be true. I happened across one on eBay not too long ago for a pretty reasonable price! Today we are going to rescue that neglected model and put it right back up on eBay for someone to enjoy in their Space Dino games.Images were sourced through Google images, I don’t know most of the artists except the final reference shown ( the red and blue one with the sweet base) was painted by Fernando Noda. I Have a HUGE PROBLEM With STORMCAST Models eBay Miniature Rescues 2021-11-28 | Honestly it's really annoying. When the Stormcast Eternals came out with the release of Age of Sigmar, I was HYPED. I mean, it got me back into the hobby. That start collecting box still has insane value built into it. For one reason or another, I've always had an issue painting Stormcast Eternals. Rescuing a NASTY Warhammer Model, SO SATISFYING | The Baby Diaries Vol.8 eBay Miniature Rescues 2021-06-20 | This week I decided to take a little break on the Deathguard army and do a quick little rescue. The model I found was a nasty lookin warhammer model I got for $13 off of ebay. The paint is THICK! Which really makes this rescue very very satisfying to watch. The best part, is that the model ends up being the perfect mini to actually fit into the Deathguard army! I promise I wasn't planning that or expecting it! The last time I showed this particular model on camera, which was a few weeks ago, a keen viewer pointed out that this model is in fact a warhammer model from the blackstone fortress game. All in all, a mini rescues, a little more work on the DG army and and overall good week in the hobby. Rescuing a Defiler in 2 HOURS | The Baby Diaries Ep.6 eBay Miniature Rescues 2021-06-06 | WOW, so for anyone who was an early viewer the morning of release, wasn't that surprising! Most of all, to me. Let me tell you, it really has been a week and I pushed really hard to finish this video on time, and go figure, in my tiredness and unwillingness to slow down, I made the mistake of uploading last weeks video lol. Thanks for all the quick comments and sharing some laughs with me early in the week, here is the video you have been waiting for :)This was one tough week. What it really came down to was about 2 hours to rescue and paint a Chaos Defiler from Warhammer 40k. The good news is, I have a plan, so 2 hours could be a lot worse! I also got my child to labor over some minis for a bit and paint a pretty nice pox walker! Contrast paints might be even more useful than I thought and I might be able to have this army painted sooner than ever! NASTY Warhammer TANKS |The Baby Diaries Ep. 5 eBay Miniature Rescues 2021-05-30 | This week I get Tanked, and paint some sweet Warhammer tanks. I am definitely a fan of the Plagueburst Crawlers for the Deathguard faction in Warhammer 40,000. They are really cool tanks that have a unique look compared to a lot of vehicles in Warhammer, and the best part is, they have a dozer blade on the front. Having a large canvas like a dozer blade can led itself to a ton of awesome combos for painting. Whether that's freehanding some kind if masterpiece or just using some masking tape to make some super crisp lines. I also worked on finishing off some bases, bringing this army one step closer to completion.Right now we are at about 1000 points of actually painted table ready models, so every week we are getting a little bit closer.
