This is our official name for the recently aligned, unified department that brings together Parks & Recreation, Cultural Services and the Library into one critically important service‑providing team for our community.
This name reflects the collective impact of the programs, services, facilities and public spaces that shape connection, belonging and a vibrant Loveland. From parks to performances, trails to learning spaces such as the library and museum, public art and recreation — it’s all part of creating the places we love.
In short, the Community Placemaking Department aims to provide lifelong access to connections and experiences (PLACE), connecting residents and visitors to nature, knowledge and learning, play, history, health and well-being
