I have wanted to utilize the space under the wing of my @sawstop PCS table saw for quite some time. It got more complicated when I installed the floating overarm dust collector, as the supports for this take up much of the room under the table.
The Wood Whisperer Guild project released in the spring of 2025 got me off my butt to get this done (@woodwhisperer) I followed the build series, but decided I wanted to make the drawer faces something special. I ended up using scraps that span my woodworking career, including the following:
Drawers 1 and 2: Test condor tails (giant dovetails) I made while building the @Benchcrafted split-top roubo workbench in 2015-2016 (also using the Wood Whisperer Guild project)
Drawer 3: An offcut from my @AndrewKleinWW Twin Turbo Vise, augmented with some weed-tree chokecherry.
Drawers 4-6: A spalted poplar log that I salvaged from my sister's yard outside Philadelphia sometime around 2011. I milled it into boards on a @powermatictools bandsaw.
FInally, to address the supports I removed from the floating dust collector arm, I designed a custom bracket in @adskFusion, then used @sendcutsend to fabricate the parts.
In the end, I am extremely happy with the result. Thanks to Marc for kicking me into gear with his project!
