We use a manure spreader on our farm to spread sawdust on our organic goldenseal crop and this last summer the rear shaft broke just as I was finishing. We parked it until this winter when we would have time to fix it. I quickly learned that the front shaft and the gearbox also need replaced, which leads us to the decision of switching the feed chain over to being hydraulically driven.
