Diné photographer and storyteller Mylo Fowler sets out on a 450-mile bikepacking journey from the Salt Flats of northern Utah to his childhood home in Dinétah, Navajo land. Carrying a ceremonial gift of salt for a baby’s first laugh ceremony, the ride becomes more than an adventure—it’s a journey guided by culture, memory, and the teachings of his elders.
Through vast desert landscapes, wild horses, and quiet miles on the road, Savoring Joy is a story about tradition, connection, and the meaning of returning home.
Directed by Ben Weiland, Brian Davis, and Mylo Fowler.
