Is the SAVE Act nationalizing elections in the US? Or did that happen right after the Civil War -- when amendments to the constitution changed the rights of the States to make their own laws about who can vote? Do aliens have the right to vote in any election? What are the motives behind the provisions in the SAVE Act? Are its requirements too difficult to meet? How does one go about "proving" one is a citizen? Is a birth certificate enough? A passport? A certificate of naturalization? A birth certificate, a marriage certificate and also a driver's license? Even if you possess all of these documents, how do you prove you are the person in the document? Is the baby in the birth certificate easily identifiable in the adult that baby became? How do we fight identity theft? Is all this just about real ID and biometric identification of individuals?
