We foster cats for Clear Creek Cat Rescue and these are our current foster kittens. In this video, they are 4 months old. These two were the most shy from a litter of 4 whose mom was feral. We are working on getting them more comfortable with people as well as with each other. The litter of 4 was split into pairs to better socialize them, but the other one from each pair was adopted, so these two spent a couple weeks apart. Now the gray one is very possessive of the space and growls at her brother. We use the toy to have them play together because the instinct for chase and play distracts her from fussing at her brother. Currently, they have two separate beds, litter boxes, and food bowls. During the day, we let them both out into the room to interact with each other. They've only been reunited for 2 days at this point, so we are still supervising their time together.
I'm sharing this video because we use ABA principles when helping to socialize the cats and kittens we foster.
