Grilled a steak on my new griddle grate from THE BURN SHOP. Turned out delicious, but I learned some things to do differently next time. Since the grate is a griddle also and is made with 3/16 inch steel, the entire grate/griddle gets very hot, preventing the use of it to do low and slow or offset cooks as people ordinarily do on a regular grate. So, this is the best of both worlds. You get the charcoal flavor in the meat, and it cooks fast on the griddle type steel. I will be experimenting with this griddle grate to see what I can do with it.
