Here's a Cybernet built Satcom EU 40FM set from around 1987.Turns out the factory original mike is intemittant.

Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile test route, the 'wrong side' of a hill. He stopped at the five mile point for a static low power test. The radio was set for 4.0W. The factory original microphone was used but didn't work properly, so a standard replacement mike was used instead.

Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio (and new mike) which is fitted to the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' marker on this video.
