Unfortunately, my 2024 did not started off the way I would have liked it to but that’s how life goes. On January 3rd, I had to put my other cat Sassy down as her health severely deteriorated over the past several days. She was almost 17 years old and had been dealing with health issues in recent years. She held on for a long time and ended up outliving her brother Casey by over seven months.
Sassy was affectionate, vocal, playful, curious, a trouble maker, and known by people around the world as the cat that hissed at a picture of Justin Bieber!
It is the end of an era in my life. When I moved to Michigan, I had to create special living accommodations for my cats due to my now wife Kaitlin being allergic. It is unlikely that I will ever be a pet owner again but I feel lucky that I had not one but two wonderful cats that lived a long time and brought a lot of positivity to my life.
Once again, I would like to thank Walled Lake Veterinary Hospital for providing great service for both them.
