Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe holds a news conference in Prince Albert to discuss Canada's ongoing trade dispute with the United States. Canada and the U.S. have each imposed new tariffs on the other following a breakdown of negotiations on August 22.
Premier Moe announces a reciprocal 50 per cent tariff on American alcohol beginning on September 8, and speaks against the prospect of an export tax on oil or any of his province's goods. He then answers questions from reporters on Saskatchewan's economic situation and his views on the federal government's trade policies.
Also speaking is David Marit, the province's minister of agriculture.
