Paul Hollingshead, UK Team Lead, introduces Saronic Technologies, its plans to design and produce autonomous ships at scale and the company's range of unmanned surface vessels (USV). Interview recorded during DSEI UK 2025.

=====================

Saronic is building cutting-edge unmanned surface vehicles that enable maritime security and domain awareness by combining best-in-class hardware, software and artificial intelligence into one scalable, fully integrated platform.

Earlier this year, Saronic acquired the Franklin shipyard — formerly operated by Gulf Craft — as the central hub for prototyping and rapidly producing Marauder and larger Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) at scale.

In addition, Saronic is building Port Alpha – a next-generation shipyard capable of delivering new classes of medium and large autonomous ships at unprecedented speed and scale. Saronic plans to invest billions to expand critical American shipbuilding infrastructure to meet the extraordinary needs of the moment.

Saronic's growing range of USVs includes:
- Spyglass, a modular 6' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) that can provide customer-defined capability in complex maritime environments. It is built for dynamic deployment, alone or in collaborative teams, via beach or at-sea launch and recovery from larger craft.

- Cutlass, a modular 14' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) that can transit significant distances. Cutlass is able to perform complex roles, including deploying other unmanned systems, creating adaptive C2 networks, and identifying, classifying, and tracking surface objects of interest.

- Corsair, a modular 24' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) capable of carrying approximately 1,000 lbs over 1000 nm. Corsair stands ready to deliver multi-mission capabilities rapidly and at scale around the world.

- Mirage, a modular 40' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) that can provide diverse capabilities across a range of maritime operations. With 2,000 nm of range and 2,000 lbs. of payload capacity, Mirage is poised to serve as a key pillar of manned and unmanned teams in every ocean.

- Cipher, a modular 60' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) that can move critical systems or cargo into places of need. Supporting the footprint of one 20' ISO container or equivalent payload, Cipher will offer large vessel capabilities designed for scale.

- Marauder, a modular 150' Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) that can host and deliver significant capabilities across the globe. Capable of hosting up to two 40' ISO or four 20' ISO containers, Marauder is Saronic's premier platform for logistics and at-sea payload deployment.
