The Saranac Lake 6er challenge is a hiking challenge in Saranac Lake, NY in the Adirondack Mountains. Challengers attempt to hike six mountains near Saranac Lake; St. Regis Mountain, Ampersand Mountain, Baker Mountain, Haystack Mountain, McKenzie Mountain, and Scarface Mountain.

To become a Saranac Lake Ultra 6er finisher you must complete all six mountain peaks in 24 hours. Tom and Mike are trying to complete the Saranac Lake Ultra 6er as part of their quest to complete Northeast Ultra 8 (NEU8). Usually, Ultra challengers drive a car between trailheads. Tom and Mike are trying to ride their bikes between trailheads adding 60+ miles of cycling to the 33 miles of hiking.
