so I stumbled across this song again, and i'd forgotten how much i loved it. I was getting strong sarabi vibes while relistening to it, and tbh she deserves more love.

I kinda went down the route of a semi-AU i guess? nothings canon but when I was younger I was convinced that's what happened prior to the film xD

In summary: the video is about Sarabi's loss and her past. In her youth, sarabi was torn between both Mufasa and Scar. She felt more for Scar, and Mufasa wasn't all that happy with that, thus getting into a fight with his brother. Knowing he'd be at risk, and that Sarabi would never be queen with him, Scar makes the choice to leave (instead of talking it out with her, like you would in a healthy relationship oops). Sarabi gets with Mufasa, and the rest is basically the plot of TLK1, with a reference to Scar still being the one who 'loved her most'. i know the text probably feels a bit repetitive. i did want to have typography there, but i still wanted the main focus to be on the clips themselves, especially with "never wanted to leave" being repeated so often c:
