Santa Muerte is one of the most misunderstood spiritual figures in the world, yet also one of the most deeply loved and devoted to. In this video, we begin a new monthly series on my channel with a respectful and beginner friendly introduction to Santa Muerte.
In Santa Muerte Series Episode 1, we explore who she is, what she represents spiritually, why she is often feared, and why so many people feel called to her presence during times of grief, trauma, awakening, and transformation.
This video is inspired by the book Secrets of Santa Muerte by Cressida Stone, which offers powerful insight into the foundations of devotion, spiritual respect, and approaching Santa Muerte with responsibility.
This series is also deeply personal for me. My great grandmother held a connection to Santa Muerte, but she lived in a time where that devotion had to be kept hidden. This video and this entire series is dedicated to her, and to every ancestor who carried sacred devotion in silence.

To guard my soul, to hold this space.
I do not carry what is not mine,
Instead, I weave it into light divine.
Through sacred flame and gentle air,
That energy dissolves with care.
No curse, no word, no heavy sting,
Can pierce the shield my spirit brings.
With Santa Muerte by my side,
All harm shall break, no pain abide.
It turns to ash, then bloom, then song,
Unbound from me, it moves along.
In peace I stand, in love I stay,
All harm transmuted on its way.
