I have been tasked with the challenge to make videos to go along with songs written by my friend Sandy Soffe from Pennsylvania that go along with the Twelve Steps endorsed by Celebrate Recovery. The Celebrate Recovery Twelve Steps are pretty much the same as the Twelve Steps used by Alcoholics Anonymous. While AA uses the vague phrase "higher power", Celebrate Recovery's version makes it very clear that that "higher power" is Jesus Christ.
Step three is key. It's when we need to start making key changes. It's a huge step to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God. Yes, it's one thing to promise it to God, but it's quite another to actually follow through because of our selfish and self-centered nature. Here is Step Three:
We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.
