I have been tasked with the challenge to make videos to go along with songs written by my friend Sandy Soffe from Pennsylvania that go along with the Twelve Steps endorsed by Celebrate Recovery. The Celebrate Recovery Twelve Steps are pretty much the same as the Twelve Steps used by Alcoholics Anonymous. While AA uses the vague phrase "higher power", Celebrate Recovery's version makes it very clear that that "higher power" is Jesus Christ.
Step Eight is about amends. Oh, no! I have to make amends to people I have hurt in the past? Oh, but now that I re-read it more closely, Step Eight does *not* actually require me to make those amends, it just wants me to make a list of people to whom I owe amends. Whew! Not so fast, though, Step Nine is right around the corner.
