The world’s largest underground drilling BEV fleet is now in operation at Rana Gruber’s iron-ore mining operation in northern Norway.
Sandvik recently delivered the final two units in Rana Gruber’s battery-electric underground drill fleet: a DL422iE longhole drill and DS412iE bolter. Sandvik BEV drills are helping Rana Gruber to achieve their ambitious decarbonization target to be the world’s first carbon-free iron ore mine.
Follow our Sandvik DL422iE production drill as it is completes the 850km journey from our Tampere production unit in Finland to its new home on the Arctic Circle in Storforshei, Norway.
