So every year we have this locally. It probably the biggest anime convention in the city, this is number 8! 8-Bit as they call it! It lasted 3 days from the Friday to Sunday, each with different events, such as panels, autograph signings, game tourneys, crafts, costume contests....there was always something to do. You can even go into the film room and enjoy some anime! Here's just a glimpse of what you would see there in person. Some borrowed pics, some from the Yakuza crew, but all just to give an idea of how some of the elements there bring out a pretty cool vibe! The Otaku Café I helped with last year was there, cool story: So two Airmen just graduated from basic came to the convention, one unfortunately had issues with their credit card, he was trying to buy 4 items, but the card wouldn't run. So the Otaku Café asked the Airman which was his favorite, and gave it to them for free! How cool was that! Overall, I think this San Japan thing is pretty cool, especially all the costumes. Although I only went on Saturday, I see myself going again next year just to check out everything and chill for a bit! ;) Enjoy the video!
