![Walking Tour of Historical Barbary Coast (San Francisco Highlights)
A great way to explore Chinatown and adjoining North Beach is to follow the Barbary Coast Historical Trail. The Barbary Coast Trail is a walking tour that connects 20 major historic sites and museums that give you a glimpse into the wild and woolly gold boom days of San Francisco. There are 180 bronze medallions embedded into the sidewalks that point you to major POIs along the trail so you can theoretically do your own walking tour…but it’s so much more fun to have a local show you around. And in this case, a 200 year old one! Im joined on my tour by the incomparable Countess Lola Montez of Landsfeld.
