When hospitalized kids can't go to the zoo... we go to them! We recently visited UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and brought some animal ambassadors to celebrate San Diego Zoo Kids. San Diego Zoo Kids is a dedicated TV channel in children’s hospital rooms that shares the sights and sounds of the natural world with patients. The channel is funded by philanthropist Denny Sanford. The San Diego Zoo Kids channel serves 216 children's hospitals and Ronald McDonald houses in 9 countries! Conservation starts with caring, and we're proud to bring joy and the healing power of nature kids everywhere.
