Yesterday I went with my mom down to the San Clemente Metrolink station to visit a friend to pick up a few things and chat for a bit, and while at it I took the opportunity to film some trains. However, I did have a few kinks.
For one thing, I wasn't able to use my Ordro video camera since last time in Tustin back in 2021, and after a long series of reorganizing a ton of stuff, as well as other complicated family drama to top it all off, I have lost a few important assets I needed for my trip. One would be the tripod mount for my iPhone, and my little sd card port for my iMac or MacBook, which I had to order another one from Amazon and it didn't take too long for it to get delivered and I was finally able to finish the video. With that mouthful out of the way, here's what I was able to catch.
**And yes, the thumbnail will be updated and it won't take too long.**
I was only able to catch two Surfliner trains in one day (no Metrolink trains sadly) and there were these long gaps on the timetable (which I checked for both the Surfliner and Metrolink timetables) and we had very little time to wait for more and eventually left. Perhaps we should've left at an earlier date I dunno, but this won't be the last time I would go down to San Clemente! I mean come on, how could you not like that ocean breeze, am I right? For reals though I only intended to have this video uploaded on July 31st, but I just thought I’d release it early. That way I can get some extra time to work on more of my other videos! (Man, if only there was another way of explaining my situation).

UPDATE 12/13/23: These horns are now available for download in Pack 12!
So, not too long ago I have been browsing some random train horns I plan on recreating for my future trainz whistle packs, when I stumbled upon these realistic sounding synthesized train horns, which were composed by YouTube user WeenyBeany. He even made some synthesized steam whistles as well. Feel free to check them out anytime.

I would like to apologize for not working on any Trainz whistles in a very long time. Last time was back from last Christmas. I was very busy outside of YouTube, trying to get through life and dealing with misc. family matters, but the point now is, this series is back in full swing!

If you’re wondering why this SD40-2 locomotive at 10:20 looks like that, it’s supposed to be like a police enforcement locomotive, which I am planning to use in a Cajon Railz remake video. Particularly episode 2, where Smokey made his debut in the series. The main difference being with my reskin is to loosely resemble the colors of the current police uniform (at least the ones I’ve seen since kindergarten, or probably elementary school or something) and to use the Illinois Central SD40-2 model as a template for said reskin. A little cursed, but serves as a teaser for a new video I hope it would be released either on my birthday or at the end of August. Only time will tell on what’ll happen, but I will keep you guys updated as much as possible.
Error at 7:35! It was supposed to say “Atlanta Falcons Goal Horn” instead of “Altamont Falcons Goal Horn!” I seem to have mixed the horn with the train I used in this part of the video. Sorry about that!
Anyway, I still have a handful of whistles that still need to be made for the rest of Pack 15, but I couldn’t fill it all in one video as originally intended. And of course, there is going to be a 2-parter for this pack like how I did so for Pack 14. If I can’t fit it all in Pack 15, then there will always be another pack ready to be made in the future! For now, enjoy what I have to offer!

For the longest time I completely forgot about who uploaded the original video, but this is one of only two videos I have of this guy, which I can no longer find on YouTube anymore. Luckily, I managed to save them to my storage device before they went private.

Okay, now I got everything. Originally i forgot to include Swansons 6 chime whistle which came off of the old Comox Logging #16, as well as the separate notes of the air horns sampled for the Hexatone H5 and H6 horns.
