Consistent with our Critical Incident Video Release Procedure, SAPD is releasing video from an Officer Involved Shooting that occurred on October 17, 2025.
Just before 10:00 p.m., officers were dispatched for a Burglary in Progress at a storage facility on the 8700 block of Fredericksburg Rd. Officers arrived and located a male inside one of the storage units with a gun. Officers made commands for the suspect to drop the gun. The male walked toward the officers and fired his handgun at officers. An officer returned fire, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No officers or bystanders were injured. As with all officer involved shootings, the District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the incident.
