Scott Rogoff | Samus Break the Targets 7.33 [TAS] @Mario64Master | Uploaded April 2020 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) was completed by Mario 64 Master (Scott Rogoff) on April 4, 2020.
This was the TAS world record for this level until I achieved 7.28 on April 25, 2020 (youtu.be/05yBRwdqLX4).
My previous best (and previous world record) was 7.36, from 6 months prior (youtu.be/D7L2--phX2w).
Compared to the 7.36 run, 2 frames were saved by optimizing the movement between targets 9 and 10. Notably, starting the fast fall sooner allows Samus to move further upwards on the first frame of the air dodge (in-game timer 7.16).
This TAS is 20 frames faster than my real-time 7.67 run (youtu.be/n-wDUGsHnoc).
Setup:
Dolphin 5.0
Melee NTSC 1.02
Recorded with Nvidia ShadowPlay (1080p, 60fps, 50 Mbps)
