Dr. Sam W. Marcuson is a former Vice-President at Vale Canada Ltd. (formerly Inco) where he led the Base Metals Technology Department. He has had a busy career, not only as a director and metallurgist but as a member and Fellow of the Metallurgical Society of the CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum) where he was also President. Although having many other interests, Marcuson has done remarkable work in mining sustainability and innovation.
