Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy S26 Plus (Exynos 2600 model from the UK), after testing it as my full-time phone for a week. Here's my thoughts on the camera abilities, battery life, gaming performance and everyday real-world use. Is the Samsung S26 Plus a weak alternative to that Ultra smartphone?
Well, vs the Ultra, you have few real upgrades here. In fact, thanks to the switch from Snapdragon to Exynos, this generation isn't as strong for battery performance compared with the previous generation. The Samsung S26 Plus can still play the latest, most demanding games like Wuthering Waves, but don't expect to spend long before the power is drained.
This big-screen Galaxy phone sports a sadly familiar camera setup, although the good news is that image processing has been slightly improved. The Samsung S26 Plus can take quite crisp night photos, although it still occasionally struggles with action pics with kids and pets. Likewise, the zoom camera isn't so hot in low light.
That's what I think of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, check out my review of the regular S26 and my Ultra video is coming soon!
