So we looked at the Korg Modwave, a brilliant synthesizer with huge creative potential. Not everyone can afford a Modwave though, and some of us need the convenient versatility of a workstation-type keyboard. Enter the wonderful Yamaha PSR-E463!
In this video I'm going to sample several Modwave sounds in the 463 and see if it can re-invent them in a way that sounds not only acceptable, but truly professional. Of course, the very nature of sampling means that the sounds will transform, and I'll look at the potential hazards and benefits of this phenomenon.
