Here it is, the Sammy Sands “Travel” show! One of multiple Sammy Sands performances. Sammy Sands is from the Gadgets restaurant, he performed in the bar section of Gadgets locations. Gadgets was a chain lead by Warner that lasted from 1981 to 1985. It was originally Gizmos, but rebranded to Gadgets in 1982. Sammy was introduced to the restaurants in 1982, and was designed by theme park design company Gary Goddard Productions. The animatronic was built by Advanced Animations. Ted King provided the music and voice to Sammy Sands in this show. Gadgets locations with Sammy Sands were located places such as Wyomissing (Berkshire Mall) PA, Towson (Town Center Mall) MD, Rochester (The Marketplace Mall) NY, Fort Lauderdale FL, Westbury NY, Aurora CO, and two units in Houston, TX.
