Balance may have been a bit more work than other Van Halen albums, but it was also a powerful one that sounded great thanks to Bruce Fairbairn and Mike Fraser and finishing up vocals in Canada at Bryan Adams' house. Even with those challenges, when something was good, it was undeniable.
