I was watching the developer's commentary for this episode when they brought up this scene and I was surprised because I never knew about this easter egg. I went back to play the episode and couldn't get the golden shorts to appear, so I had to look through some forums to see if there were any instructions on how to get the golden shorts to spawn. I've got to give credit to 'u/thegeekyskunkgamer' on Reddit because I would've never have been able to figure this out on my own. I'll drop a link to their post on how to get the shorts.
