I wanted to share the video for my original song “Second to Midnight” with you all on election day as a reminder of how fragile our world is and how important it is for us to take ownership of its future. The song was inspired by the idea of the doomsday clock, a measure of how close we are to a man-made global catastrophe - and in 2018 we’re as close as we’ve ever been to the “midnight” which on the clock’s scale represents a disaster like nuclear war or environmental collapse. PLEASE go out and VOTE today for candidates who will help us move away from a future of conflict, division, and selfishness and toward a vision of tomorrow that’s not as bleak as the one in this music video! Love you Samily — let’s get out there and VOTE!

The year-long project I initially called the “yearbook album” is (unbelievably) complete! “The End (Is the Beginning)” represents December, and in many ways this project as a whole. This time of year always makes me think about the cyclical nature of our existence and how every ending is by definition a beginning.
I am BEYOND grateful for all of you who have been following along on this ambitious undertaking month to month and have truly made it possible with your support and encouragement. The full album is NOW OUT and I encourage you to go take a listen to the whole thing in order (there are some fun bonus tracks mixed in) as a way to reflect on this year - which has been at times scary, frustrating, enlightening, infuriating, heartbreaking, and yes, occasionally beautiful.
I cannot WAIT for what 2021 holds (more original music, covers, mashups, vlogs, etc. etc. as well as some other exciting projects I can’t wait to be able to share) and Im sending ALL my love to every member of the Samily!
