Sam Sunderland won the Dakar in 2017, being the first British rider to win the Dakar. He was defending his title in 2018 when a nasty accident caused him a back injury than expelled him from the competition. We met him at the EICMA in Milan and had a short conversation about the Dakar, adventure bikes, racing, and all sort of things a normal guy could ask a Dakar winner.
